The blanket is said to mimic the effects of a hug thus increasing the levels of Serotonin and Melatonin overnight.

A weighted blanket would be smaller than an ordinary blanket as it’s only supposed to cover your body and not the bed. It should be used as a throw and not as the blanket itself.
