Euclidean Geometry is now an extremely important part of the Maths curriculum. In the past it formed part of Maths Paper 3, which was an optional subject in Grade 12. Since then, Euclidean Geometry has been re-introduced as a compulsory topic and assessed in Maths Paper 2.
Due to popular demand, the Geometry chapter of the DoE approved Grade 11 Mind Action Series textbook is now available in this workbook format. The authors have upgraded the approach to the teaching of the theorems as well as the inclusion of additional exercises and challenges. The theorems are now presented in three groups rather than separately. This approach will enhance the understanding of the theorems as well as assist educators to cover the Geometry syllabus in less time. The examples presented in this workbook are numerous and cover all aspects of the content studied. All of the exercises are graded from easy to more challenging problems. Learners can work in the spaces provided in the statement-reason columns. This will save a lot of time in the classroom since diagrams do not have to be redrawn by the learners. Educators also don't have to waste time photocopying the
diagrams for the learners. The reasons outlined in the DoE Maths Grade 12 exam guidelines are strictly adhered to ensure that
learners get used to using these recommended reasons. The teacher's guide contains detailed solutions to all of the exercises. It is essentially the learner's book with all of the answers filled in. This workbook will hopefully make the teaching and learning of Geometry an enjoyable experience.
